Africola is the latest hot offering from chef Duncan Welgemoed. Serving up South African grill food and unique cocktails in a bright and quirky surround, Africola has fast become one of the standout places to eat in Adelaide. Expect perfectly cooked meats and decadent sides: smoke, flame and ash from a fire pit will inform the modern menu.
South African born Duncan is the former chef patron of Bistro Dom on Waymouth Street and now Head Chef and co-owner at Africola. He has worked in some of the finest kitchens in England and has been awarded Advertiser chef of the year 2013, Howard Twelftree inaugural award winner for Gastronomic Contribution. Duncan’s food concept utilises the finest local produce, working hand in hand with growers, breeders and wine makers to showcase the best of South Australian cuisine.
